After sharing studio space for a couple of years a joint venture was unavoidable. With a shared interest in velvet pop, honey lounge and filtered synths a meeting was set. The result of that meeting became Warmland. A crew of each other and a full arsenal of gear, they produced, played and caressed an album set to be released in early 2018.
Warmland is Arnar Guðjónsson and Hrafn Thoroddsen, both who have been members of numerous projects in the Icelandic scene as producers and performers, including Leaves and Ensími.
Warmland’s tones and textures are pop-orientated with a dark confetti flavor, silky vocals and swirling synths that blend together with drums and bass. A love child of 70’s pop, 80’s mood and future promise.
Warmland will release a full length album in early 2018 followed by concerts and videos.
